Indonesia's production forest product production enliven the 2017 Interzum Exhibition in Koelnmesse, Cologne, German, on 16-19 May 2017
The Interzum 2017 exhibition is a concrete manifestation of cooperation between the Ministry of Trade and the Import Promotion Desk (IPD) which is a buyer's representative in Germany to promote Indonesian timber and wood products to buyers, stakeholders, and research and development in Germany.
Attending the exhibition were Indonesian delegates, Director of Export of Agricultural and Forestry Products, Marthin Manungkalit, Director of Forest Product Processing and Marketing, KemenLHK; Representatives of Directorate of Promotion and Image Development, Ministry of Trade; Which facilitate the realization of the exhibition.
The exhibition was participated by 6 (six) Participating Companies, among others: PT. Rama Gombong Sejahtera, PT. Sumatera Timberindo Industry, PT. Tanjung Timberindo Industry, PT. Pinako Rotari Permai, PT. Abioso Batara Alba and PT. Sumber Mas Indah Plywood.
The product variations displayed by exhibitors consist of barecore, plywood, outdoor furniture, blackboard, decking, door frame sets, molding, and wood pellets.
In the exhibition was obtained prospective buyer of 396 buyers with an estimated transaction worth USD 22.5 million. The buyers come from several countries including Germany, USA, Chile, Colombia, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, India and Australia.
On the occasion, the Delegation team also made a field trip to one of the importers of furniture products, teak 24 company, where their superior product is furniture with teak wood raw material.
Currently the company has been working with several suppliers from Indonesia, namely the industry players in Cirebon, Jepara and Cepu.
The export trend of forest industry products to the EU during 2012-2016 tends to increase export by 3.19%.
Germany is the third largest importer country after Britain and the Netherlands for the forestry industry with realization of export value from January to February 2017 of USD 29.83 million. Export of such products to the German market share of 17.22% and dominated by wood products, furniture, plywood, veneer, as well as paper products.
